About Me
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Brain, Language, and Computation (BLC) Lab at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. My research focuses on the intersection of cognitive science, immersive learning, and educational technology, aiming to explore how emerging technologies (e.g., AR,VR, GenAI) can enhance learning experiences and cognitive development, by leveraging physiological (e.g., Eye-Tracking, fNIRS, EDA) and behavioral data to inform the design of effective educational interventions. I am particularly interested in exploring the intriguing relationship between the human mind and technology, not limited to educational contexts but also extending to broader applications in Society, Culture, and Art.
I have been involved in research projects on various domains, including AR/VR based experiments, game-based learning, virtual museum, and digitalization and preservation of musical culture. My focus encompasses both the technological and cognitive aspects. On the technological level, I am interested in creating AR/VR applications, virtual experiments, GenAI tools. On the cognitive front, I am keen to understand how these virtual manipulatives affect on students’ knowledge, emotion, and behavior, by leveraging multimodal data (e.g., eye-tracking, physiological data, behavioral data).
Most recently, I am doing research on examining the neural and behavioral mechanisms of collaborative learning in immersive virtual environments, by utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as VR, fNIRS, and AI. Additionally, we are planning to conduct a experiment on integrating biosignal data and GenAI to adaptively support students’ learning in VR environments.

Research
1. AR/VR based experiment
2. Virtual dulcimer
3. Tujia dance choreographer
4. Virtual Museum
The virtual museum is one of the projects I participated in. We developed a VR-based Tujia Virtual Instrument Museum to promote the musical culture of the Tujia minority. Based on this museum, we conducted several experiments involving elements like a virtual avatar, controlling learner agency, and incorporating various learning strategies. Below are some typical cases.
